Core part of the AMA-Gütesiegel and the AMA-Biosiegel programs are guidlines for livestock farming and food production. These guidelines go beyond european and domestic directives. Compliance with these guidelines is monitored by independent authorities. In addition, the origin of raw materials and their place of processing can be traced. Participation in the AMA programs is open to all member states of the European Union. The guidelines do not differ from the guidelines of the Austrian version of the seal, just the origin of ingredients and the location of processing is indicated with different colors.
